IFA shows the latest trends in the branch

From the 2nd to 7th September 2016 the international consumer economics trade fair (IFA) was held in Berlin. We were represented with both a large sales team and a stand, introducing the most innovative products and solutions at the leading global trade fair for consumer electronics and home applicances.

Latest products and highlights

The IFA in Berlin is the hub for the consumer electronics and home appliances sector. It offers visitors a comprehensive overview of the market at an international level and inspires enthusiasm every year among delegates from more than 100 countries. Visitors to the trade fair can experience presentations of the latest products and innovations.

Trade fair success

This year’s IFA was once more a great success for us. We were represented by our large sales team on a very professional looking stand in hall 4.2, together with our exhibition partners CAT (Bullit Group), Lebara, Coolpad, Blackberry, BQ and myscreenprotector.

We had already arranged a lot of appointments with customers in advance. We were of course particularly pleased about how popular our stand turned out to be. The meeting rooms and the area as a whole were all well filled, attracting so many people that at times there was barely room to move 😉

Good development

Now that the sales channels have successfully sold off their stocks from the previous months and are now stocking up for the business at the end of the year, this led to a very successful trade fair over all. The highlights certainly included the new CAT S60 with integrated thermal imaging camera, the Coolpad, the champion when it comes to value for money, and the most secure Android smartphone from Blackberry.

The only network operator with its own stand, the Deutsche Telekom, had, as always, a full and impressive stand presenting a wide range of new releases, offers and promotions offering our retailers great opportunities for boosting sales in the run up to Christmas.

IFA 2016 in a nutshell

All manufacturers were represented with new, innovative products. Whilst there may not have been one particular spectacular new innovation, a very positive trend towards improving existing products and quality was apparent. I was particularly pleased to see that the manufacturers have now understood that they are most likely to enjoy support from retailers if they offer retailers opportunities for making money from selling their products.
