The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and its big brother the Galaxy S8+ are now available to order. The flagship boasts an infinity display, a 12 MP main camera together with an 8 MP front camera as well as a great many other highlights making it stand out from its predecessors.

Compared to its predecessor, Samsung has integrated a number of new features into the Samsung Galaxy S8, which has a striking new design. It boasts a large 5.8 inch super AMOLED display, high performance and a new user interface. The new infinity display covers virtually the entire front of the smart phone, uses QHD+ resolution (2960 x 1440 pixels, 570 ppi) and allows a display of 18.5:9. This allows it to offer a bezel-less surface, which blends seamlessly into the casing. The home button has been integrated into the display, where it remains invisible, depending on the contents which are shown, until it is needed.

The front and back of the device is cased in an aluminium frame. The back has a glass cover. Instead of the predecessor’s micro USB connection, a USB type C connection with USB 3.1 is now included at the base. A further button has been included on the side in addition to the volume control and the on button. This is used to call up the AI assistant Bixby. In addition, the Samsung S8 is water and dust proof in accordance with IP68 certification.
