Information on battery disposal
As a supplier of batteries or devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
You are legally obliged as an end user to return used batteries. Used batteries that we sell or have sold as new batteries can be returned free of charge to our warehouse (dispatch address). You can also return the batteries to the collection points that have been set up for this purpose by the public waste disposal authorities.
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The crossed-out dustbin symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste (unsorted municipal waste).
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 per cent lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 per cent cadmium by mass
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 per cent mercury by mass.
Information on the disposal of old electronic devices in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronics Equipment Law (ElektroG)
Electrical and electronic devices are labelled with the above symbol of the crossed-out dustbin, too, which means that they must not be disposed of with household waste and must therefore be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste.
As a consumer, you are obliged to collect waste electrical and electronic devices separately and hand them in at an authorised collection or return point, such as the local recycling centre, for example.
You must remove the batteries that are not enclosed in the device before you dispose of devices that contain them. The removed batteries must then be handed in for disposal free of charge at the sales points or at recycling centres or other battery collection facilities.

We must inform you that parcel labels generated for the return of old devices via elektroretoure24.de may not be used for the return of goods that are returned due to the assertion of cancellation or defect claims. We also inform you that you alone are liable for any misuse of elektroretoure24 or any improper provision of old devices for collection. Misuse occurs in particular if the volume of old devices sent in via elektroretoure24 or prepared for collection exceeds normal household quantities, or if returns do not contain old devices but are filled with other items instead, or if items are prepared for collection that are anything but old devices. Please note that you are responsible for ensuring that there is no personal data on the old devices that you return. For this reason, please ensure that you delete all your personal data before returning your old device.
